What is Cafe Kairos?
Kairos is one of two Greek words for time. Chronos is the word that closely matches the word we know as time. Chronos is the time we measure by the clock and the calendar. It is predictable and orderly.
By contrast, Kairos means a moment in time when something extraordinary happens. It is a window of opportunity, an in between time, time set apart that is open to change and perhaps even transformation.
At Café Kairos time is allowed for coffee, conversation, prayer, and creative expression in a Christian community. It is unscripted praise and worship of our God.
